Amrao Achi Gridআমরাও আছি
HACKATHON MVP · REVISED SECURITY & REGULATORY EDITION

No internet. No smartphone.
One message tells your family you're alive.

Amrao Achi Grid is a distributed, privacy-preserving check-in network for internet shutdowns and disasters. আমরাও আছি — send a short SMS, and the record survives even if the node that received it goes down.

AMRAO ACHI terminal ready. This box simulates a feature-phone SMS route talking to a JOGAJOG node.

Simulated sender

Gateway trust level

The plan requires rejecting alphanumeric or application-originated sender IDs as identity proof. Try ACHI on the untrusted route to see the check-in refused.

Design principles

Feature-phone first

Every core action works over ordinary SMS — no smartphone, no app store, no data plan.

Offline-first nodes

Independent relay nodes accept, queue, and answer check-ins even while cut off from the internet.

Minimal disclosure

A lookup confirms safety and time only — never exact location, medical status, or movement history.

No single point of failure

Events replicate across nodes and transports, so one server, gateway, or operator can go down safely.
